On the first screens it's activated, on the second it's deactivated... but looks like not right installed... so you use xlive.dll?

yes, the xlive.dll is sitting in the GTAIV root directory along side the executables.

installed everything correct? Which Patch do you use? any other mods installed?

I downgraded to 1.0.4

Textures, I have:
DKT70 roads
Lord Neophyte's texture pack
Trees

I'm using these:
Realistic Car Mod Pack V4
TrafficLoad
No Intro's

That's pretty much it

I'm going to go through and re-install the game with just icenhancer and see if there is a difference.

Delete Car Pack, see how it looks then, reinstall it if it isn't the problem..

Ok, I think it was the no-intro mod I had. going through them one at a time helped. Things look better now.

Do you guys have a recommended car pack?

+ chikamru real traffic (i find this is the only fix for taxi bug without texture loss...the rest dont work)

This is what it looks like when I first load the game

The lighting in the safehouse simply looks too bright and after hitting shift+f12, looks more natural.

Maybe I have it backwards?

It looks like the skylighting isn't working, Make sure you're using GTA IV 1.0.4.0

At this point, I'm inclined to agree about car packs. I've tried a few so far and all of them have little quirks and glitches.

I was hoping to have real world cars in the game, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. I'm back to the stock cars at this point.

But it looks like my issues everything is running pretty good now. I think I'm just going to stick with icenhancer and texture packs and not mess with anything else.

I play with my own carpack, I mod the car one by one, test etc, and when I had to reinstall my gta I just replace with my vehicule.img and handling.dat. Everything works great so far
All car back, and not 100 ferraris, 200 lamboghinis etc...

then use the method i described... install everything by yourself. and look out that the cars aren't that big.
