I'm having issues with taxi bug fixing. It seems whenever I find what sounds like will work there are never any instructions (or none in english) so I really am just messsing with stuff and killing my game a lot.
First up I have a high end PC (run GTA4 + iCEnhancer graphics maxed). I have modded in a few cars. One at a time and I always back up my files before adding a new car. I am running 1.0.7.0 sweet as through steam and I'm a bit hesitant about downgrading it.
This taxi issue is a nightmare. I have seen some posts say here grab X, that will fix it. I go and download whatever fix, skip the steps that make no sense and it doesn't work. Some posts don't even provide links.
After hours of reading random posts and random forums and found I need somethng to run the taxi fix. Got "Alice" and it wiped my saves but apart from that did nothing else (rubbish instructions). Got "asi loader" and it just kills my game.
So now I turn to the community that seems to actually help people. For 1.0.7.0 what should I get for fixing this? Not just the taxi fix but what I need to get it to work and where do I put all the files? It seems the fixes are all good if you have done it before but how can you be expected to know what no one has ever told you?

Ok, update on this. See if I'm on the right track here. I got "traffic load" which requires "scripthook" (from what I gather). Got "scripthook" which requires an asi loader (once again from what I gather). Got "generic loader" which is a asi loader for any version of gta4... This is where I am stuck. I don't understand why everything isn't all included but I'm sure somehow it must makes sense to someone. Does an asi loader require some other thing to get it working? I still have the taxi bug.
*EDIT* Just tried another asi loader called "yaasil" which doesn't do anything either.

So you won't have any problems anymore i suggest reinstalling GTA IV or using backup of IV. 1. After that install iCEnhancer. 2. Then download xliveless3. Copy & paste both xlive.dll & xlive_d.dll into the main GTA IV folder. 4. Download this Scripthook5. Place the Scripthook.dll into your GTA IV root folder. 6. Download the Traffic Load Fix and place TrafficLoad.asi & TrafficLoad.ini into the main GTA IV folder. 7. Start the game through LaunchGTAIV.exe and see 8. (Bonus step) If it still doesn't work, copy & paste the msvcr100d.dll (located in the traffic load fix folder) into the main GTA IV folder.

I am running 1.0.4.0 and having the same problem. I have tried at least three different traffic fixes and none of them have had any affect. What could I be doing wrong?
