^^^^^^^/// edit: hmmm... yup 6950 2GB here it's a crying shame... so only solution would be to go NVidia? Meh... My game rig: Win7 x64 Ultimate AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition (@ 21x200 ~ 4.1GHz) OCZ Memory Reaper DDR3 4GB PC3-10666 MSI HD6950 Twin Frozr II 2GB When I hardset 1440x900 and set AntiAliasing, AmbientOcclusion etc to false I still don't get above 15-25 FPS I use a non-modded, non-scripted 1.0.4.0 non-steam version to test the 2.0N My commandline.txt (with toggle options): -norestrictions -nomemrestrict -fullspecaudio -novblank -availablevidmem 2.0 -percentvidmem 100 ;-memrestrict 838860800 -noprecache -refreshrate 30 -framelimit 1 My settings normally (to be above 25FPS in a modded/scripted and carpack filled version): Video Mode 1920x1080 Asepct Ratio 16:9 Texture Quality High Reflection Quality Very High Water Quality High Shadow Quality High Texture Filter Quality High View Distance 36 Detail Distance 68 Vehicle Density 45 Shadow Distance 10 Definition On Vsync Off Any help appreciated!

iCE?
well it's also an (AMD) driver problem! Combined with my MSI 6950. I reverted from the latest 12.2 catalyst back to 11.2 and gained 10~15 FPS throughout in my modded version (textures, cars etc). Now almost smooth overall but occasionally still dips < 25 FPS. The difference between these drivers in GTA IV is very noticable.
iCEnhancer 2.0N is still unplayable in 1080p but nearly tho ... just under 20FPS.
I now do tend to buy and try a GTX 560 Ti just to see.

I now do tend to buy and try a GTX 560 Ti just to see. Doubt it will, I recently decided to play GTA4 again and looked for ways too make the game look better and I quite liked how this made the game look but after multiple tries and experimenting I've come to the conclusion that the GTA4 engine can't handle it nvm what system specs u have. Now my system is definitely not avg I'll post full specs at bottom of post but when testing iCEnhancer 2.0N today I've found sum interesting things. Firstly when outdoors at night my FPS is the lowest at aprox 40fps which is ok but not correct when I check system loads and CPU is about 85% total and GTA4 approx 70-75% of that but then the really surprising thing is my GPU's are at 40% load which sounds like a CPU bottleneck but it's not at only 85% CPU load so the next likely is a bottleneck in the game engine. But then when indoors CPU load drops by about 10% and GPU usage jumps too 80-90% total load and FPS goes above 100. My only other problem is that with multiple clean installs and different settings my GTA4's lighting is dodgy at night and indoors screen shot links: Outdoors at Night & Inside and that's just not good enough so any suggestions on that front would be great. GTA4 graphics settings are all max and those screens are of clean install of iCEnhancer 2.0N on a clean install of GTA4 1.0.4.0 and using the latest version of XLiveLess. Full System Specs - Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K - Overclocked @ 4.2Ghz Memory: 16384MB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 @ 1600MHz CL9 Hard Drive: 1x OCZ Vertex 2 60Gb SSD - OS, 2x Samsung SpinPoint F3 500Gb RAID 0 - Games Video Card: 2x eVGA GeForce GTX 480 Liquid Cooled SLI - Overclocked @ 822.7MHz Core Clock & eVGA GT 520 Accessory Display GPU Monitor: 3x Acer G235H Sound Card: Creative Recon3D Fatal1ty Speakers/Headphones: Logitech X-530 & CM Storm Sirus Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 Pro (B3) Computer Case: Cooler Master HAF-932 with Single Custom Liquid Cooling Loop System specs are a copy paste from XFire very late at night and lazy mode is active, if any of you are questioning what your system is doing I recommend technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx for overall system info and www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/ for detailed GPU info.

For the XXXth time GTA IV DOESN'T SUPPORT SLI OR CF BY DEFAULT!!!!!!!!!!!
You need to use Nvidia inspector and choose the right SLI Compablility Bits to get it to work!! Grand Theft Auto 4 | 0x42500045 | +80% Performance
And Icenhancer isn't working on your Screenshots.

Sorry your incorrect GTA4 has had an SLI profile for a long time "0x03400405 (Grand Theft Auto IV: Expansion - Episodes from Liberty City, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Grand Theft Auto 4)" as u can see it's a shared profile with EFLC and surprisingly TFU 2 and it was also used for a LA Noire SLI stuttering fix, I also wouldn't have the exact same load on both GPU's otherwise. I've been working with PC's for 15yrs I know what I'm doing, but in the interests of keeping an open mind I did try your suggestion and it didn't make any difference. And if iCEnhancer isn't working then why does the game look like this Outdoors & Indoors on a clean GTA4 v1.0.4.0 without iCEnhancer, and how can I get it too work properly when all I do is add XLiveLess and the main files and it looks like the previous posts images. I've also tried tweaking and using the option files ect ect and it still doesn't fix it.

0x42500045 0x03400405 Images are also link too large version. As u can see the SLI-Bits changes did nothing for the FPS, 0x03400405 did have slightly higher load at 65% over 0x42500045 having about 58% but CPU loads were the same for both at approx 50% usage from GTA4 (60% total CPU load). Also just too test everything I ran GTA4 with just a single GPU 29 FPS with 80% GPU load and surprisingly 38% CPU usage by GTA4, so I still stand by my original statement that the GTA4 engine has a bottleneck in the code and that is probably because it's a console port. Also those screens are the best I've ever got iCEnhancer too look using XliveLess the main files then putting the personal version over that, if someone with a fully working iCEnhancer could post a similar location and time screen that would be helpful so I can compare the difference and tweak the settings accordingly too try and get it looking right.
