Dude, its possibly bottlenecking? ...an i5 is waaay superior for an old 5770... or I could be wrong.
Check your i5 is running right, try some CPU benchmarks and read up what an i5 should get in that test, if its low then you may need to check your power management setup for your CPU in the bios and in the operating system. If all that fails and your i5 is still slow... you have a imdumbed up chip. Also open task manager and see if all 4cores are running.

The i5 can't outrun the 5770 or the other way around. All that can happen is that the frames can't be processed fast enough by one part where you will have to upgrade, which is not the case. OP:What is the Primary Graphics Adapter set to? It should be PCIE/PCI as the onboard GPU shouldnt be utilised in any case.

Well I just found out that my steam folder was read only from a previous install cause I got keylogged and thought all the files would be fine afterwards so i copied the steam folder from windows old over to my new install. I guess the runtime libraries didnt install correctly cause I cant run the witcher 2, idk imdumbing stupid ilovepoop.
but I cam run arma 2 at max settings, so idfk anymore
Thought I fixed it since my steam folder was "read only" from a previous install, but no. Grand Theft Auto 4 on a clean install STILL gives me 6 -10fps with iCEnhancer, but every other game runs fine, still less than what id expect, imdumb it. Tomorrow im going to fry's returning my amd motherboard for $100, returning my i5 and my p8z68 mobo for $450. Getting a 2nd gen i7 with an Asus Sabertooth motherboard. Maybe an H100 cpu cooler not sure yet.

What do you want with a sabertooth or i7? Put that money to good use, get a propper P67 board like the ASUS P8P67 for example, get yourself the i5 2500k and you are good to go. That thing easily runs at 4GHz with undervolting so no need for liquid cooling, a decent air cooler is more than enough.

But thats what i had, and the i7 and H100 arent just for vidyagames. I dont 3d design. Animations, modeling, and animations take a lot to render. 3d scenes also take a lot to render if i want to use Vray, yeah ill need abetter gfx card, but as for now, im good

But I had a 2500k and I'm getting the p8 and the sabertooth is a P67 derp, but i dont like the black case it has on top of it. H100 is the best cooler, its self contained liquid cooling so I dont need to replace the water at all, it isn't your everyday generic liquid cooler, and its quiet. I didnt get all this just to play GTA4, im not some dumbass kid, I utilize this computer to its full potential in many different ways, mainly 3d scenes and vray in 3dsmax and animating.

Forgot that you already own the 2500k because you are using a Z68 and a 2500k pretty much is a waste of money with that chipset. Also you don't have to tell me all that, I know my stuff. The sabertooth is only used for extreme OC and as long as you dont plan on cooling your hardware with LN2 its a waste of money, also who cares for how it looks like? Same for the H100, wasted money again on P67 boards where you can overclock so easily. If you work with 3D apps, why bother with a i2500k in the first place? Get yourself a Xeon.

You have to repair the GPU.Or buy a new one.I recommend ATI HD6850/6870,or HD6950/6970.6850 and 6950 can be unlocked from BIOS to 6870/6970.

rosf98Did you even bother to read what he wrote? He can run Arma 2 at max, do you really think his GPU is broken or that he needs a new one? Also you can't unlock the cards anymore, that was only possible with the first batch.
