So I"m pretty sure I know why I'm having serious frame rate issues with the latest 2.0. It looks simply amazing, the reflections off the cars are fantastic, but I"m getting something like 10-15 frames per second if not less. i have a decent system. Currently my system is Intel i7-2670 @2.20 ghz with turboboost up to 3.10 ghz with 8gigs of ram and an 2GB AMD Radeon HD 7690M GDDR5 Discrete Graphics card. But I"m running version 1.070 of GTA IV, so can I assume that is why I'm having serious frame rate issues? Or is it because my system isn't powerful enough? THanks for any help in advance

Hello, I have the same problem, but me i have ELFC, i've installed xliveless with patch 1.1.20 for EFLC, installed icehanced 2.0 for EFLC, disable the noise effect, texture look great but i don't know what is my framerate, i think it's always under 25FPS, i play high visual settings, 1080p, my configuration is i7 2720QM, 6970M, 8GO of ram, but i don't think it's my config, without icenhancer, the game work without problem with high settings, icenhancer require more ressource ? Thanks for your answers, and sorry for my bad english.

1.0.7.0 is bad patch to playing on,Dont use it if you dont have to ,1.0.4.0 has really good performance ,1.0.7.0 iCE 2.0 is also a beta ATM,Try using medium or low config to increase fps

thanks, i have all patches for EFLC, i will testing all patches, maybe with one of all patches, i think i can find a "technic" to play with a decent framerate, i think it weird to play with high settings without icenhancer, and it impossible to play with icenhancer.

Ehh, I probably have the worst system here, and playin' GTA IV with no lag. Well actually I always had lag but Icenhancer 2.0 really made a difference. I got a pretty cheap quad core processor, and a GTX 260 graphic card, plus only 2GB of DDR3 RAM.

Enable SSAO and set it up correct and you`ll get the best Imagequality. Its up to "what do i want".. Best fps or best Image. Since Gta4 is a "old" game and i`ve played it hundreds of hours i would prefer the Imagequality . The game seriously changes with the correct settings. Oh yes, i nearly forgot, I bet a ton that the gfx card defo matters ! A quadcore Cpu should be there for sure, but to get a photorealistic feeling you`ll need something more spicy. Upward a GTX4xx i guess would be ok. Prefer verry high settings? Upwards a GTX570 ! Modmate

I'm already playin' on highest settings. Like I said before I used to lag with every enbsetting but 2.0 just made it perfect. Not 60 fps, but there is no lag so probably around 30, not sure 'cause dk how to check FPS.

Malphas how high/low are your graphic sliders? Ive tried a few things (1.0.4.0 with low/mid iceconfig file, -noprecache for EFLC, tried lowering quality settings) but my FPS still dip under 17 at times. Id be happy if mine stayed at least at 20 and above anything less starts to give you headaches. Oh and just dl FRAPS to see your FPS.

Oh thanks, my fps is actually only 15 when I'm not moving and 13 when I'm driving and sometimes screen stutters and goes to 10 or like when I take a corner really fast or crash into something. But that fps really isn't laggy . But yeah it's not fluent like 60 would be xP

For me : interior : 35FPS Exterior when i don't move : 15-30FPS when i move my mouse : lag + 15-25FPS when i'm driving : lag + 15-25FPS
But it's never permanent, i have 25FPS one second later 15FPs one second later 17FPS

I'm not having framerate issues but since i've installed 2.0 i have way higher load on the GPU as i can hear the card trying to cool itself harder. My specs are a 2600k, 16 gigs of ram and a MSI GTX 580 Lightning.

Yeah same here sometimes I have 35 then it drops to 14 then 17 then 20. Generally it is playable but Id like to get at least a steady >20 to prevent fatigue/headaches. Rulzmaker I think you're probably not gonna run into any issues, your system seems like a great configuration, solid. Great GPU and great CPU, more RAM than GTA can use! nemexixx what is your CPU? I think my performance Achilles heel is my Phenom...it will never be an i7 and its starting to show now...
Oh and xMalphas 60 FPS is a hard feat to accomplish in a graphics intensive game unless you got a real good system to back it or you're running a small resolution.
