hemusmoraHow's your CPU's Clock Speed? Also GTA IV is a crappy port and low fps are normal. It lags even on High End PC's. Try lowering View Distance and Detail Distance. These values are set wayyy to high. Installed latest drivers? Also using Gamebooster 3.1 could help: www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html#none

His computer his more than competent enough... I really dont get how his game can mix up his gpu with a 9600. have you tried to use the -memrestict command with what is appropriate with your computer?

What patch are you on?,Did you play Nvidia inspector or something ,His computer great enough,Do you have 9600 gt ? ,Try disabling it

LOL. Boris, I love you .
Because you have NVIDIAFORCECARD = TRUE in the INI, it makes the game loading NVIDIA shaders by changing the ID of the graphic card. and Boris was using a 9600 GT so it's inside the DLL.

Wow, I had no idea about that ,But using NVIDIAFORCECARD doesnt reduce fps I guess,Try changing it to false

I solved the problem. I changed the setting from ultra to very high. A new problem: the night is too dark and day is too light. I found the setting here gtabay.cba.pl/index_dokumentacja_gta4_en.htmbut it's hard for me
