Hello I am trying to use the 1.0.4.0 patch as suggested, the only problem I have is that I just upgraded from a gtx 570 to a gtx 680 with 4 gigs of ram and the 1.0.4.0 patch version of the game has a problem with reading more then 2 gigs of ram on some video cards such as mine. It doesn't detect my card's ram properly and crashes to desktop because it doesn't believe or reads that it has 4 gigs of vram. I've tried the solution by adding command lines into my gta directory and onto my shortcuts tried all variations of -memrestrict commands seen here: www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=391150and the command -availablevidmem 2.0 suggested by the rockstar staff Is my only option to try and use 1.0.7.0?

how about -norestriction command??try only set -availablevidmen 1.0...run the game as administrator n set compatibality mode to vista service pack 2..untick it back if it doesnt solve your prob...make sure you run launchgtaiv.exe not gtaiv.exe..make sure antialiasing mode set to application controlled...
-norestrictions -nomemrestrict -availablevidmem 1.0 or 2.5
add:also try update directx n .net...i also got this prob before..after update these redist solve the problem

I have the same issue as simsoonas, highest settings run's at 7 fps haha (gtx 480 SC, I7 950, 6gb ocz reaper 1866) looks awesome though, and when I try reducing settings I get out of video memory crash. It's a bummer... ran fine with icenhancer 2.0 on highest settings.
